Lori Berg

As an Illinois native, Lori made her home state proud as a Miss Illinois as well as an arts reporter and on-air host. Lori produced programs which garnered national attention for NPR. After completing University of Illinois and graduate studies at Harvard and Texas Tech University, Lori served as resident director fortheatre outside of the Chicago area. In her tenure there, her favorite shows to direct were On Golden Pond, Godspell and Greater Tuna. Lori came to Los Angeles to meet playwright Ernest Thompson (On Golden Pond) as he was considering her for the role of Chelsea in a musical version of same. Renowned opera coaches Dr. Michelle Renee Roueche, Howard Day Kellogg and John Wustman have shaped her mezzo voice. Roles under her professional belt: Carmen (Carmen). Marriage of Figaro (Cherubino) and Candide (Old Lady). World premiere musicals have included Pablo; Judah Ben Hur and Pilgrim.

Lori is “the voice” for all the Forest Lawns. She won the Christian Artist Seminar and Competition, a venue out of which many contemporary singers rise.

As a teacher of the arts, Lori serves many area schools as a resident artist in the fields of design, theatre, voice, on-camera and modeling.

Lori directed the first-ever production of Godspell in Asia. She enjoys regularly taking part in staged readings and revival productions.

Nationally, Lori’s voice has been heard for the likes of Lenscrafters; Jenny Craig and Carl’s Jr. TV and film credits include: Rachel's Room (Sony); On Common Ground and Madison Heights (PBS); Recycling Hope (YouTube) as well as a long list of guest and featured roles episodically and in film. Most recently, Lori appeared on Dr. Lisa and The Mobile Mom Squad.

Lori serves as director of Foothills Pregnancy Resource Center, an organization which empowers women to health and wholeness. Her center has just been featured in a new Southern Hicks music video. Lori has been awarded for the past two consecutive years Los Angeles County’s Commission on Women “Woman of the Year”.
