Actors Co-op Receives Warfield Award from Los Angeles Critics Circle

January 29, 2014 . . . Hollywood, CA . . . Actors Co-op, currently celebrating its 22nd Anniversary Season, is proud to announce it has received The Polly Warfield Award from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle.
The Polly Warfield Award is for an Excellent Season in a Small to Midsize Theatre and is accompanied by an honorarium, funded by the Nederlander Organization. The season being honored includes Actors Co-op’s productions of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, AH, WILDERNESS!, THE MATCHMAKER, THE MIRACLE WORKER and TO BE YOUNG, GIFTED AND BLACK.
The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle was founded in 1969. It is dedicated to excellence in theatrical criticism and to the encouragement and improvement of theatre in Greater Los Angeles. The 45th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 17, 2014 at The Colony Theatre, located at 555 N. Third Street in Burbank.
Actors Co-op operates two 99-seat Equity-approved theaters (the David Schall Theatre and the Crossley Theatre) on the campus of First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. Actors Co-op began on January 8th, 1987, with a dozen actors. Currently, its membership exceeds 50 professionals. In its 22-year history, Actors Co-op has produced over 90 main stage productions.
